Classic low rent small LLC corporate hustler slumlords. MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS ACCORDINGLY! My sliding glass door was improperly installed and has been broken for months with no attention paid. I was initially hesitant to rent from this company due to other reviews but was pleasantly surprised by the quality and design of their unit. I am so pleased and it’s just so wonderful! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. We moved into a brand new unit 2 months ago and it's been issue after issue for 2 straight months. From plumbing, electrical, dishwasher, and safety issues. Management doesn't care and does nothing to try and resolve the issues. My husband and I have had to take so much time off work to deal with everything and the incompetent management team. My experience of Drake is that they are an average property management firm in the Los Angeles market. As a tenant, you must know your rights and exercise them, and document, document, document in writing in addition to frequent and over-communication. Luckily, Los Angeles has way above average tenant rights than most cities. There are many free available resources to advise you. My experience of Drake is that they are reasonable and I believe that is because the owners of the building are decent/reasonable people.
Pretty horrible apartment experience. It was fine at first, but there were many issues with the apartment when we first moved in two years ago. They were fixed in a timely manner, but as time went on, issues would take longer and longer to be fixed. Our AC/heat system went out in early August, and wasn’t repaired before we moved out (12/8/24). Not even sure if they have a plan to fix it before a new tenant moves in.
