First I would give this vet a zero, but I can't., so one it is. I just took our lil dog in for an exam, no care and detail was taken. But an attitude was given. We educated ourselves before we decided to give them another try after receiving attitude many years ago. What a mistake waste of time and money. The young vet didn't like the questions I asked,. Our dog has a tumor, they recommend X-rays (almost $500), no bloodwork to actually see if her organs were ok to go under, then brought me a separate estimate for over $2000,... read more
Unfortunately this veterinary clinic was purchased by private equity. The vets are super young and very pretentious in their attitude. It's hard to know if they are giving good advice versus "upselling" their expensive services. Sadly so many human and now animal medical providers are moving to the private equity market which is bad for the patients involved.
We've been taking our dog to East lake for many years. That ends today. The dog is 16 and unfortunately today was her time. We called the office and they said we could bring her in anytime, no appointment necessary. Family members drove from Salinas and Santa Cruz. When we arrived we were told we needed an appointment. Even though there was a vet available they were unable to help us and referred us to a vet in Santa Cruz. We all drove up to Santa Cruz Vet Hospital where they were very helpful and compassionate. Unbelievable... read more
I brought my cat for a drop off and no one called me to pick her up, only for the consult and to give me an invoice. When I went to the clinic to pick up my cat after no call, I realized the vet was closed. Its Saturday morning, I am sitting in the parking lot of the vet trying to get my cat (who has never been alone her whole life) and the vet is closed until Monday. No one answers. This is so painful to me. I do not wish this upon anyone. I used to go to this place for years. I can't believe their service has gone down so ... read more
They just let my dog die. They wouldn't even come outside to see him. They just kept me on hold forever and eventually told me to take him to emergency in soquel. I told them he wouldn't make it to soquel, he's dying. They refused. He didn't make it to soquel. I'm only voting one star because it won't let me put any less.
BEWARE of this clinic. If you love your pet DON'T take them here. Take them ANYWHERE but here. They poisoned my beloved cat which led to his death. I made the mistake of trusting them. Please don't make the same mistake. I took him in for a toothache, asking them to check him and see if he needed antibiotics. Dr. O'Connor gave him antibiotics but also gave a pain killer that I later learned is NOT approved for cats with renal disease. It's called Zorbium. They were WELL AWARE that he had kidney disease and had been ... read more
Worst ever. DO NOT TRUST these rude people they will try and overcharge you and did i mention they are very RUDE
10 years ago, I wrote about my bad experience at East Lake animal clinic. I recently had an emergency with my dog and could not get her seen anywhere. My last resort was East Lake animal clinic so I called there. I asked if I could take my dog in and they said that I could. After I gave her my name, she said that they were not able see me. When I asked why she wouldn't say. The moral of the story is, don't give a bad review if you may have to use them in an emergency.
honestly the worst vet clinic I have ever been to with the rudest vet. when the doctor walked in my dog is a bigger dog and he was excited so we put our muzzle on and figured I would let my dog sniff him to get comfortabl. after which he basically yelled at me and my dog saying not to do that I not dealing with this otherwise you can leave. if my dog didn't need allergy medication so bad I would have just left
