Dr Liau is the best vet I have been to in all my 16 animals that have gone to East Lake. My husband brought our dog (Tubby) in with a massive dog fight wound to his chest. Dr Liaus gentle hands and kind manner made all the difference. he is the embodiement of a vet- kind, sure of himeself and his diagnosis and above all you could tell that he cared about our dog. Today he is taking out the drain tube and was just as kind and informative of the situation as the day he did the initial surgery. definately look him up- he w... read more

Excellent place to take your pet!! I just picked up my baby Mysha aftere her surgery and the staff was excellent. they treat the animals great and before the surgery they worked with me to fit her in on the day I needed to take her in so I had a few days to spend with her before I went to work.. They were great at answering any questions I had and making suggestions. Not only were they great with my baby their prices are very reasonable. I was originally going to take her to Watsonville Aimal clinic (which the staff ... read more

The most unprofessional vet clinic on the Central Coast. Our team is not sure why they have attitude, but every person we've sent to this clinic has had the same experience. Corporate needs to clean house, starting with Dianna, the office manager. It's bad vet medicine, and when we discussed it, their answer was not to address our team's input from multiple fosters, but instead go on the defensive. After this last incident as a rescue we will not work with them. One of our pugs tested positive for Erlichia. This was verba... read more

Very bad experience...paid for year supply of nextgard with that I got free heartworm exam....was told I would receive 6 months of nextgard now and rest after that was done... but when I went for the rest of prescription they claim I only paid for 1 six month supply...not true...only way to get free heartworm exam was to buy 12 month supply. I will no longer have them as my veterinarian. Good luck if you are dealing with Eastlake animal clinic

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with your recent experience. We took our dog of 16 years and made an appt to have her euthanized . This was not an easy decision for my family but as each day was worse than the last, it was time. However Chloe Eaton decided to prolong her life by two extra days and gave my family hope when there was none. She diagnosed our dog with "vertigo" and said she would get better on a couple of days. My dog was blind, deaf, had multiple strokes and was fading fast, how could she say it was curable? We brought our dog to East Lake Animal Clinic so she could kno... read more

Prepare to be ripped off. They added line items on our bill that had nothing to due with the surgery, never even mentioned them and expected me to read through every line of the bill. During surgery I got a call that my dog had severe ear infections even though he was just checked out by them a week ago and he shows no signs of having any problem with his ears. When I asked why he didn't have an ear infection last week when I brought him in the Dr said he jumped around too much. Imagine that a hyper dog... Staff is young... read more

First I would give this vet a zero, but I can't., so one it is. I just took our lil dog in for an exam, no care and detail was taken. But an attitude was given. We educated ourselves before we decided to give them another try after receiving attitude many years ago. What a mistake waste of time and money. The young vet didn't like the questions I asked,. Our dog has a tumor, they recommend X-rays (almost $500), no bloodwork to actually see if her organs were ok to go under, then brought me a separate estimate for over $2000,... read more

Unfortunately this veterinary clinic was purchased by private equity. The vets are super young and very pretentious in their attitude. It's hard to know if they are giving good advice versus "upselling" their expensive services. Sadly so many human and now animal medical providers are moving to the private equity market which is bad for the patients involved.

We've been taking our dog to East lake for many years. That ends today. The dog is 16 and unfortunately today was her time. We called the office and they said we could bring her in anytime, no appointment necessary. Family members drove from Salinas and Santa Cruz. When we arrived we were told we needed an appointment. Even though there was a vet available they were unable to help us and referred us to a vet in Santa Cruz. We all drove up to Santa Cruz Vet Hospital where they were very helpful and compassionate. Unbelievable... read more
