Hotel employees at check-in complained that we booked through Expedia and not directly through them. Most places to eat at the hotel were either open only a few hours a day (check Eldorado web site for places to eat, then check hours they are open for yourself, very disappointing.) All were either closed 3 or 4 days a week or only open a very few hours each day. Casino was open 24 hours but had trouble finding food. Room AC was not cooling the room enough and bathroom drains were clogged.
The front desk staff are pretty rude. So if you don’t check in by internet you’ll deal with their unpleasantness. The room was rundown, now I know why the guy checking us in asked if we wanted an upgrade. The AC didn’t function well. The shower fixtures were broken. The TV worked half the time. Parking was partially blocked off due to maintenance. Half the stores are not open. The slot machines are over the top tight. this was the first time i have checked into a Hotel and was made to wait til exactly 3 pm before they checked people in. we arrived ca. 2:20/ 2:25 so when 3 came around there was a line of about 25 people checking in. I know check in is at 3 pm, but i have stayed at the El Dorado plenty of time, this was the 1st time
Gross.
Air Conditioner was broken. Room was extremely hot, made it difficult to sleep. Also. around 345am - 445am maids were vacuuming the hallways and banging into the baseboards with the vacuum cleaner. It was very loud.
There was not enough restaurant in the casino to eat breakfast,lunch or dinner,and what wie got to eat was terrible,not only talking about the fact that it was expensive to , I don’t think I will ever go back there
I had the hardest time with getting an issue resolved. Also the rooms air conditioner did not work. The face handle was broken. Beds were terrible, only two pillows on bed. Just terrible for the price paid. Will never stay there again. Very disappointed.
