These people should be out of business! I recently purchased them, and left them in less then a month. I filed a claim because I was a victim of a hit and run, and they refused to do their job. They wanted me to start calling everyone around, and taking care of it for them. All the calls are recorded so I made sure that they heard me when I said that I was leaving them because the claim adjusters, and supervisors do not know how to do their job. My car was hit from back by a driver insured by Elephant insurance. Elephant insurance denied the claim based on lies of their insurer without calling me, witness or police. I even sent dash cam video which clearly proves the other party's fault. Waiting for ever to get a alive person in the claim department. Maybe their rate is cheaper and the service is horrible.
I called to cancel my insurance as I was going with a different insurance company. The customer service representative I spoke with at Elephant assured me that after the current month, it would be cancelled. But they kept charging me and after I called them about it, they said there was nothing they could do about it and they reported it on my credit reports. Very poor business practices. If I treated my customers like they do, I would be out of business.
I am absolutely appalled by the way my claim has been and still is being handled. As a single mother of 3 children I have to make it to work to pay the bills. I totaled my (they made me remove my vehicle type here) almost 6 weeks ago. I was forced to rent cars to get back and forth to work. I couldnt afford to keep doing that so I went and bought a car and have been forced to finance it due to the fact I still have not been paid off on my total loss of my paid for vehicle. Been with this insurance company for over a year. Most of the time I had a good experience until I cancelled my policy for cheaper insurance. When I was cancelling my policy I was harassed on the phone to not cancel. I let them talk me into getting a new quote but it was still more expensive than what I wanted to pay. So I cancelled. Don't do business here terrible claims reps still waiting to close claim on total lost filed june now july you have at least 15 people telling you different information on your claim the worst, If it was left up to me I would give them no stars.
I got insurance with them I'm May of this year. They asked me about everyone in the household, I explained to them who they were and that I was the only driver. I went to pay my car insurance the next month and they cancelled my insurance because someone that use to live in my household had a suspended license in another state. I spoke to 3 different people about why Elephant cancelled my policy without notice after accepting the recent payment 5 days earlier. The first person I spoke with was rude and refused to transfer me to a supervisor even after asking over ten times, even said they had no supervisor. Awful customer service!! They drafted my account after I had canceled my policy. They never notified me they were going to do this. I called to find out why they drafted my account and asked to speak with a supervisor but the supervisor refused to take my call.
