Samaritan Hospital ER did a great job with my mom, a non verbal Dementia Patient. The staff was patient and professional. Her ER nurse Brian was a perfect 10 nurse. Best nurse ever in the ER. He kept checking up on mom and I, was very kind to mom and very understanding about her condition. The ER doctors were great as well, very proactive in her care. And also understanding about her condition. A+ score for the ER.
It’s hard to put into words, how frustrated, disappointed, and saddened by what I experienced at Samaritan emergency department. The lack of communication, compassion, and overall care was at best fair. Emergency rooms in the United States should do better than that. Along with the doctors that work there. I will say once that I got up to a room 13 hours after I arrived things went a little more smoothly thank God.
The nurse Kathryn was beyond kind and compassionate. Her desire to make my 93 yr old mom comfortable was truly appreciated as was her high level of professionalism and attentiveness. If every nurse performed their job like Katheryn, the health care system would be dramatically improved.
I am very appreciative of the care and efficiency I received at Samaritan’s ER, I was made aware of everything that was going to be done and everyone from registration,nursing and imaging were very professional and helpful. Thank you Dr.Sarenac and especially Meaghan for your care. Kathleen Horn
I've never seen an ER so filthy and reaks of urine. I don't know how it remains operational when it's so overtly unsanitary. Went in with a head and neck injury (bad fall on ice) at 9:30 pm. While I got an MRI relatively quickly, at 3am I didn't have any answers, test results, and no one had examined my injuries. If it was flooded with people I'd understand, but it wasn't. I don't doubt the people there are doing their best given the working conditions (they are the only reason for the second star). But good God, the powers... read more
