The staff was fabulous from Security getting me to my father, the nurse, PCA and physician that took care of my father. The facility cleanliness was extremely poor. I felt like I needed a shower when I left. I have never been to a facility that was so filthy. I’m glad my father did not have any open wounds. The dirt on the walls, flooring is cracked around the base of the room. This has been my experience for the last 4 visits with my mother and father. Why they still insist on being brought to your facility is beyond me.
Went to the emergency department at St Peters hospital Friday afternoon. The staff and Dr were fantastic and caring. They were very concerned and did whatever they needed to do to make me comfortable. I went with heart problems as well as other issues and they set up everything they needed in case the condition worsened . They did testing on everything to rule out certain things. Had a visit to the ER yesterday. Heart rate was up to 201, they took care of me immediately. I've never had such good, fast care before. They made sure to keep me calm, let me know every step that was happening. Two nurses even held my hands when I was super nervous. The care in this facility is top notch! I will always go to St Peter's no matter what the situation!
I saw no one for 3 hours after being brought to the main ER room. I asked male nurse why no one has checked on me in 3 hours. He said several employees quit. He also stated that no doctor was assigned to me and it could be 2-3 hours before I may be seen. I asked if it would be ok to call my doctor and leave the ER if the wait was that long. He said yes, no problem and he would check me out and take the IV out. I went back into the room and waited. He came in and removed IV and bandaged my arm. Then stated I was good to go.
