Overall, the care at Encompass Rehabilitation was very good. However, there were a few disturbing things that happened while I was there. I was being glucose tested because they said I was a diabetic, which I am not (very concerning); I initially felt I was being released too soon after only six rounds of physical therapy. I was asked by the rehab doctor not to appeal the decision. There was another incident where I questioned a medication and the nurse told my doctor that I was confused. New, clean facility with skilled PT/OT staff. One negative experience with a Nursing Aide, Nicole on the Night shift for 2 shifts unfortunately. She is clearly not in the right field as she was rude and not compassionate to my Needs. She made comments that she wouldn’t be helping me up to the bathroom all night. She was the sole reason why I chose to self-discharge early. I had lost confidence in the entire place and program. My experience at Encompass health Rehabilitation Hospital is positive. The employees, including Doctors, Nurses and other staff such as the people who brought meals were all kind and friendly. I would recommend Encompass heath to anyone I know.

Never really experiencing, or understanding Rebab before I was awaken to a whole new world. I entered in a very immobile state, in less than 14 days the PT/OT staff had me up and running! Every day we worked on stretching and strengthening and it all worked well. Now I have mobility with a walker and I am home walking the neighborhood regularly. Very pleased with my care. Encompass was the best post-hospitalization place I could have gone to. It is very clean and the staff is always friendly and ready to help. Dr. Kalie was not only available but he was very hands-on as well. I am so glad Encompass is here!
