While Dr. V was a very good listener and was kind, she prescribed me a medication combo that was AWFUL. I barely made it out of the hole I was in. I called when I realized it wasn’t working and never received a call back. I never got a call back on my labs and only happened upon them myself when I logged into the patient portal. I went to Dr. Voelschow to find solutions to peri menopause. She listened but didn't seem knowledgeable about current HRT options as well as research. She prescribed me birth control and escitalopram - the WORST DO NOT USE THIS COMBO! I was never informed of the risks of going off escitalopram, I spent months detoxing from only taking 5mg - WORST experience! I then did my own research and found a Functional NP who prescribed HRT. During my visit I felt frustrated and misunderstood about my experiences with menopause, which is supposed to be her specialty. After that appointment, I was told I would get a call the next day about my treatment plan. It's not been 8 days and 3 unreturned calls later with no response. This is not how a patient should be treated, and this has not been my experience with any other physician at Katzmann.
