I had an amazing experience with Escape Campervans from start to finish. The check-in process was incredibly smooth and quick—staff were super friendly, helpful, and made everything so easy. Communication throughout the trip was excellent; any questions I had were answered promptly and clearly. Returning the van was just as hassle-free as picking it up. This is our fourth time renting an Escape Campervan. Each rental has been in a different city and each experience has been wonderful! All of the workers have been extremely kind and accommodating! Escape is so laid back and not your typical rental car company where they pressure you. The tires on all of the vehicles are always in great shape and safe for National Park travels! Great road trip from Orlando down the east coast of Florida to Key West and then up the west coast and back to Orlando. Van was very comfortable to drive and a great first road trip vehicle. Bed was comfortable and easy to set up. Cooking was particularly challenging on the one night when there were a lot of mosquitoes - we just didn’t cook - because we didn’t want to have the back doors open and let the mosquitoes in, otherwise the rear kitchen set up worked great. Escape is a great Campervan rental company. The van we rented had everything we needed and completely met our needs. They also have a great customer service team. If you need anything before, during or after the rental, give them a call or send them an email.
Just finished our 21 day trip from New York to Orlando. And it was fantastic. A few days before our trip we changed from the Maverick to the Big Sur and that was a good decision. Lot more space due to the extra row of chairs, which we used as storage space. We let the bed always in and didn’t change that during the day. And pro-tip: buy a topper at Ikea or Walmart.
