Great customer service, very helpful when navigating around forest fires We just returned a Mavericks van to the Denver depot after 11 nights and could not recommend the experience enough. Firstly, I'd like to commend the entire Escape team's customer service throughout our experience. Everyone from reservation, to pickup/dropoff at the Denver depot (Amy), to the roadside assistance was communicative, kind and willing to help with any questions. Our original itinerary was one way from Denver to Seattle - shortly before departure fires started to get bad through CA/OR/WA and we called Escape to see what our options were if it got worse. They were flexible about letting us potentially drop off at a different depot. This gave us a huge peace of mind going into the trip, and when things got significantly worse in the first two days we were easily able to change our itinerary back to dropping off in Denver (went through UT/CO). Though we dropped off a day earlier than expected and were unable to get that day's cost back, Escape waived the original one way fee we paid which was HUGE. The mavericks was extremely easy to drive (felt comfortable on curvy scenic byways) and would recommend if you don't need a larger rig (fit into regular parking spots / tent spots). We had an incredible experience and can't wait for the next!

Great experience This was the best idea me and my husband ever had. We loved renting the Maverick Campervan. Efficient and courteous staff, awesome van that was easy to drive, and got to see Colorado in a whole new way. We will definitely do this again!

Fantastic CO / NM trip with 2 kids. I took my two children around CO and NM for a week. We got the rooftop tent so one kid got to sleep up there each night (11/13 y/o). Stayed in state parks and KOAs and independents. Was handy to have a power cord (given to us) to power our electronics at night. Had everything I needed for camp cooking - we ate only once in a restaurant.You can use a tent campsite as long as the parking is relatively level, nobody minded that we didn't actually pitch a tent. We tended to get tent + power just so we could watch a movie.The folk at the Denver office was super friendly and helpful.I would do this again in a heartbeat, and would recommend to anyone who wants to camp but doesn't have all the equipment to hand. It's a self-contained unit that is simple to drive and setup.

Awesome Campervan Trip to Utah! On a whim my girlfriend and I decided to take a long weekend and rent one of Escape's campervans, then head out to the Utah Desert. Upon arrival we found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helped us with some insider knowledge of where to camp. The van itself was spotless even though it was gently used! We tossed in our bikes & climbing gear and drove the 5 hours over to the desert. The van handled great, even when we were hit with a surprise blizzard on the top of Vail pass, and performed even better on the red dirt roads of Utah! I've spent most of my life sleeping on the ground or in hammocks while I'm out in the desert, but this has changed everything! Being able to wake up on a COMFORTABLE bed that easily sleeps two and cook eggs and bacon out of the backdoor has changed my thinking on VanLife! I'm already looking forward to my next adventure in a Escape van!
