I rented a maverick for a solo 3 week road trip, visiting Teddy Roosevelt NP, Missouri Breaks, Glacier NP, Big Horn Canyon, and the Badlands. First night on the road I managed to hit the van into a tree trying to make a tight turn into my campsite, dented the door and shattered a window. I was never so thankful to have gotten insurance before. Customer service was phenomenal. Recently went on an 8-day adventure from Chicago around Lake Michigan. This was our third time booking an Escape camper van. They are perfect for our style of camping. Always clean and well-maintained. Nice to have a fridge, sink, and stove with you at all times. Our rental included 100 miles/day, and we almost always go over the allotted mileage, but the extra cost is reasonable at $0.30/mile. Not the biggest fan of the colorful graphic wraps, but understand why they do it. Will definitely book with them again in the future... read more
I had an incredible experience renting the Maverick camper van for my latest roadtrip to North and South Dakota. It was clean, comfortable, and I greatly appreciated the quick customer support when tragedy struck with a flat tire. I felt like the prices were the best I’ve found to rent a van in the USA. I would highly recommend this company and the Chicago location to anyone.
This is the second time I have rented an Escape Campervan, and once again, I was very pleased with the experience. This was a 19-day one way rental with pick-up at LAX and drop off near O'Hare in Chicago. Both the pickup and the drop off were flawless. The purpose of the trip was to drive Historic Route 66 from the California border to the starting point by Shoreline Drive in Chicago. I had no issues with the van. This was one of the most pleasant rental experiences I have ever dealt with. The workers setting up our van were so helpful with everything, explaining how everything works and the ease getting my group in the van, and on the road. We had a hick up on the end of our trip with the battery and all we had to do is flick a switch and the van jumped itself.
