I am incredibly disappointed with my experience at this Extra Space Storage facility. When I initially signed up, the rate seemed reasonable, but it has become clear that this is a classic "bait-and-switch" operation. Within 12 months of moving my belongings in, my rent has been increased over $150. The management and local workers are great. Unfortunately, many of these buildings have design flaws which make certain units accessible to thieves. Ownership and corporate are well aware of this design flaw, yet they take no action to fix the problem. In fact, even newer facilities are built with the same design flaw. I had 2 different units broken into. There have been countless other units broken into. Rate increase without notification. My unit went from $107 to $215 very unhappy with this practice of rate increases. We were excited when the facility was built and moved in when they first opened and it hasn't been a year yet and our fee has gone from $55 introductory rate to $107 to $215 in not even a year. It is a nice facility but not for the price that is well over market price for the same unit. Same as previous customer increased rate without notifying, it hasn't even been a year yet. When I signed up online when they just opened, I asked the agent about price increase. he did state the increase would occur based off how the rental climate changed, but I could call in and speak to the owner, and they would not increase much. Just another Predatory Pricing Business that is only seeking money. My Monthly Storage Rent was $16 and they ( ** without notifying me ** ) increased it to $35.00 , When I checked my account randomly today to pay my Bill early that was how I learned of the upcharge. Parking was Horrible when I did visit ,, They also left the door for Storage Owners Entrance open at all times .. It's not that difficult to just invest in purchasing a Keyless Digital Doorpad .. Especially with the amount of $$$ people are paying monthly.
