I rented a 10x10 for 4years on 1st in Newark NJ, they decided to make repairs. The building is old probably with lead paint on the ceiling which they scraped and patch with cement. All of the scraping was all over my items. I had insurance which they required long story short I reported my damages and was denied. They didn't covered that part. The place is trashy no temperature control which can ruin your items, beware. So I decided to cancel my contract. No Refund 0n my items 😡😡

I’m warning anyone thinking of renting from Extra Space Storage. This company operates on the very definition of bait and switch. You’d think a newer location would want to build trust and keep customers, but instead they pull stunts like this. I signed up for a unit at what I thought was a fair, clearly listed price. Nowhere did it say “promotional," it was simply the price shown on their website. But after just four months, they more than doubled my rent.
