The practitioners and staff at Family Healthcare of Fairfax are supportive in all ways whether it be scheduling of appointments, advice, education or helping with getting support from other doctors. Vanessa their first line scheduler is cheerful, humorous and gets things taken care of quickly. The telemedicine aspect works very well, and their alternative medical meeting help. Going to my doctor's appointments is like a homecoming. Full of laughter and good cheer. The team is professional, thorough, and seems to know more about me than I do. Even after the needle pokes and coaching me up to take my health condition a little more serious, I always leave with a smile on my face and feeling like a million bucks. Dr Shmorhun practices medicine the way it used to be. he takes his time, answers all questions and takes care of you without rushing. He is smart and a good clinician. He does not run an assembly line and he explains clearly why he is ordering and (more importantly) why he is not ordering a particularly test. He is an excellent doctor. His staff is friendly, helpful and supportive.
Have been seeing Dr. Shmorhun since he started the practice (when our oldest was a baby). That was more than 30 years ago! I can say, without any hesitation, that choosing Dr. Shmorhun as our primary care physician was one of the best decisions of our life! He and his entire staff have been so wonderful, so caring, so responsive. They view health holistically, and have been able to treat nearly every issue the four of us have had in-house.
