This particular Farm Bureau, Forsyth St in Monroe, La., Agent is Paul, is not good. After shopping for insurance, I was advised if I take their insurance, on the 11th day of the month, it had to be set up on ACH and would be this date. After asking if I could change my date to rhe 20th so it wouldn't be late or just make my payments manually, as this was not my pay period date, I was advised no to both. Bob cooper of west Monroe farm bureau is the worst insurance agent I have ever experienced in my life. Does not return phone calls or communicate with customers no matter how many messages you leave or how many texts you send. Also can you get them on the phone when you need to talk with them about your policy or have a question or issue. There rates were cheap in the beginning but they went up on us without us having any tickets or wrecks. I would recommend you look elsewhere and not deal with this particular branch in west... read more

If you use Farm Bureau for an auto policy you will have to provide quarterly proof of insurance to your bank, since Farm Bureau doesn't properly report this. You'll have to email and call them a few times each quarter to get them to do this. Prices are artificially high if you don't try to cancel annually. I was made to go to the office to sign a letter requesting proof of insurance that Wesley told me would take three weeks minimum to get back. This seems to be by design to prevent customers from going to other insurance.... read more

The entire time I've been with Farm Bureau, it's been a struggle to talk with anyone, especially my agent. The only time he returned my calls was when I told the operator I wanted to switch agents, which they never did. Can't even get in touch with them to cancel now, and it's not an option online. Would recommend another company or at least another office than the Monroe.
