The inpatient rehab is the worst run medical facility I have ever encountered. That is not an exaggeration. I stayed for 14 days in the middle of August. During that time the water went out twice. The first outage lasted four full days. During that time at the facility toilets didn’t flush, there was no ability to shower, do laundry or even wash hands before meals which were served family style. I would highly recommend this place for anyone truly seeking sobriety. The Counselors/therapists are amazing, each of them have their own unique fun personalities and teach a little differently, which is nice because everyone has a different way of learning. They put your needs first before curriculum. I learned so much from this place, had I known the experience and outcome I would have had, I would have gotten into this place so much sooner. Beautiful residential facility in the quiet hills of Shingle Springs with top tier staff that care about their clients and their path to recovery! Along with a fantastic new outpatient facility in El Dorado Hills again with a strong clinical staff that ensure the best possible treatment for all their clients. This is a program you can truly believe in and live up to what they say they do. I would recommend First Steps to any family or friends that may be struggling.
First steps Recovery program truly changed my life and saved me. The staff and directors of the program truly care for people here and give every tool necessary to succeed and manage addiction. The rest of the work is up to you! Want it for yourself and everyone around you. The bonds created here are ones I will remember forever. I can undoubtedly say I would recommend this place for Treament over many other facilities in the region. They truly care about the client experience and true recovery. The leader of this organization is a Mental Health professional, so there is unmatchable leadership for treatment. Their clinical outreach team is amazing
