So glad we found this place, it was a great rainy day activity. The staff was super friendly, the facility was very nice, and the water was warm. Will definitely be going back.
As a 2nd grade teacher in Henrico County, I have taken my 2nd graders here for the last 5 years for their Learn2Swim program with HCPS. The swim instructors are wonderful with our kids. The lifeguards and other staff are very patient with us, too. Pool area and family locker room are always clean.
Friends; what an incredible facility. It's very clean, well staffed and classes are easily within most budgets. I'm new to the YMCA organization but I'm excited to use & experience others around the country. So for now... I'm reserving the right to modify my review in the future. However I'm sure all others will be compared to this one. Worth the trip when visiting the State Capitol here in VA. ~V.👍🏽
This place could be a real gem but the management of the facility is severely lacking. They post they are open and describe all of the amenities for families but they are only available for limited times which is extremely not clear. I thought the YMCA is supposed to be attempting to meet the needs of families but I guess that’s not part of the objective for this facility. The sad part is that this is not new feedback for this facility but it continues to be an issue.
Awesome facility! Awesome staff! Our children (4 & 7) have been enrolled in swim lessons for a few months now and they LOVE it! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Their safety practices are great for smaller swimmers. When we enrolled our boys they could not swim at all and now within just a few months they are swimming! I love that it’s never over crowded.
