Our mother entered Garden gate for rehab, she was never washed, developed bed sores, kept in a room with another patient who tested positive for Covid, was documented to have a chest X-ray which was for her roommate, we spoke with the supervisor who was just appeasing the situation. Food was never hot and one of the nurses upon admission stated the food is awful and suggested to bring food in or have it delivered. My brother was in here 2 weeks & died. He was special needs & was ignored. My phone calls 5, 6,7 times a day were ignored. Does a doctor really work there? Do you pay for his name? I never once heard from him. Called & left multiple messages. All ignored. My poor brother died. No cause of death . No condolences from this place. Nothing. Food was disgusting. His food should of been chopped fine. They plated full hotdogs etc. No chopping happened. Neglect!!! Choke & die Rosina was rude, & callous.
The leadership change is making all the difference. Still has work to do but I can feel the momentum and excitement every time I come see my mom. I am really happy to see changes! Well done.
One of the best Director of Nurses there is. Shelly has been visible, available, welcoming and all around amazing for this facility. What a refreshing experience seeing leadership walking around working!!
At the time of writing this, this facility has the WORST reviews of any place in Buffalo. This is for good reason. My father in law was here for PT after an amputation. His wounds were not cleaned, but signed off by a nurse. He was forced to sit in his own waste on multiple occasions. The staffed talked down to him and the family on multiple occasions. Complaints made to the director of nursing went unanswered. DO NOT SEND YOU LOVED ONES HERE.
