I have always been such a fan of Gesa credit union I have recommended more people and businesses than I can count. However, after this incredibly obscene economy, I had to use my personal loan and maxed it out. In addition, I opted to wait to pay against any of the principal for the next month of January. Figuring I would just pay it in full and as within their rights, not only in my paying an 18% interest on this loan but anytime there’s even a few cents in your checking account. The ONLY GESA in the area and they have one guy working here… I get it’s inside a Safeway but one guy?
I recently had a disappointing experience with Gesa Credit Union while opening an account and applying for auto financing. Initially, they promised me a 5.24% APR on the auto loan, which was one of the main reasons I decided to move forward with them. However, after everything was finalized and I had already taken the loan, they were unable to honor that rate, leaving me with a higher APR than originally agreed upon. I had literally the very best experience from begining to end with GESA. From Patty the Loan Specailist who took my auto laon application to the super low interest rate and then to the local branch employees. The ease and overall feeling of appriciation from the entire staff was refreshing. I'm usually not so enamered with service but GESA deserves this one. I have been very pleased with the assistance Ambrose Ng, at the Kirkland, WA GESA branch provided me. Recently, he advised me to refinance my auto loan to a lower % rate. Before that he suggested I put a portion of my savings into a short-term CD where I will earn much more than if it was left in my savings account.
