I don’t ever leave reviews but this service has earned one. Our apartment just forced all of the tenants into switching to their community service. Immediately, we began having internet issues and laggy connection. On New Year’s Eve, our internet went out and hasn’t been working ever since. I’ve been run around by the horrible mobile support, and a technician came out and “fixed it” only for the internet to go down again about another hour later. HORRIBLE internet provider. DO NOT MOVE TO A PROPERTY THAT HAS Gigstreem unless you want to spend hours on the phone with the tech support for the same issue. We constantly have intermittent outrages and have to call their “tech support” who reset the device or send a technician out days later. These outages have been ongoing for 3 months and I’ve called Gigstreem over 50 times for this to be resolved. We moved into a place that requires this Internet provider and it has been nothing but issues. It’s been about three weeks since we moved in, and our Internet has gone out twice. Keep in mind that when the Internet does go out, it is not a simple fix either. In our experience it takes a minimum of 5 to 10 hours to get any type of connection restored. Also, when we moved in, we had to go and purchase extenders because the modem provided by them only provided Internet for one room and did not reach any other part of our house.... read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. The customer service and IT was horrible. I could not get a straight answer about anything. I canceled the account after it only being up and working for 30 mins. Thank god I never shut off my existing service. My appartment complex does not force us to use Gigstreem but after I told them to just cancel the service they threatened to have the appartment complex charge me. Gigstreem is easily the worst internet provider of the six I’ve had in my life. I have about 20 minutes to an hour of outage per two days. Their customer support always has a long wait and they will not escalate you up if the first level of support can’t help you, which is most of the time. Furthermore, their routers are attached to the wall and so they can’t be power cycled easily in the case of a failure.
