The only reason I switched from Spectrum was because I recently moved to an apartment that contracted with Gigstreem. It’s been truly a worst experience- spent hours on the phone with their customer service reps, as well as having technicians dispatched. Each visit consisted of at least 2 hrs, never reaching a resolution. I work from home and cannot communicate with my team, my meeting drops all the time, and downloading a simple file takes an eternity. If I could give zero stars I would. I was forced into having this service as my apartment complex switched over or my last service provider was bought out. This service is supposed to be non contractual however I was still charged after having my service canceled and moving out. So many cases have to be filed in order for me to get my money back and the finance department has yet to contact me about my refund. It’s been almost a week now. If you have a job that relies on you having a reliable internet connection, DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE! Honestly, unless you live in such a way that you never wish to stream movies, music, or games, I wouldn’t recommend this provider. This company has terrible reliability , and their customer service side is even worse. The internet regularly drops out, will tell you that you’re using the wrong password, and have random outages that last for hours. Genuinely the worst internet service and customer support I have ever experienced in my life. I work from home, my complex forces this service provider on us by having it preinstalled in every unit. In the year we gave been here, we have had almost daily issues. No one from the support has ever followed through with sending a tech out (when you can get them to answer the phone. Impossible to work remotely with this ISP. I'll be moving because of them. Possibly the worst customer service on the planet. If you have an issue, be prepared for transfers and long waits - 45 min per call for me. Had them 2 months and I've had to open 5 tickets because of dropped connections, then unable to sign in again. Techs take multiple days to investigate and don't keep appointments. Update: to rectify this issue, support said they would credit my account for a free month.
