this hotel blows hasn't been remodeled in 50 years. Had blankets with leopard pattern from the 1970's
Very old hotel. No amentities, no service. Very old hotel. No amentities, no service. still has metal keys. Way overpriced. In its prime it wasn't as nice as a Motel 6. Its amazing to me how these old hotels can get advertised by Hotels.com and Travelocity, etc. Apparently, they never check out what they are selling...which gives them a bad name.
Glenwood Motor Inn Seemed to be placed between 2 sets of long term stay customers. They had a large U-Haul trailer unhitched, and it stayed right in front of my door the whole time. Was quite the view. There were other large trailers and vehicles seemingly permanently parked in the small parking lot. Very congested. Didn't understand why I was placed in a very small, congested area when the rest of the motel stayed pretty well empty of customers.
Would not return It was after check-in that things went downhill. We booked 4 nights and the first morning, upon waking, we heard a knock and a key in the door before the standard check-out time. The next morning, the knock came even earlier. As a honeymooning couple, we would have liked to slept in. The ice machine was out of service, and the service was less than great. Should have gone to Motel 6.
Nice location but poor service Unfriendly staff at the front desk: did not even say hi at check-in. The continental breakfast they provide is a joke. When we arrived at 9 am, the young lady at the front desk was so busy changing channels on TV with her feet on the desk that she had not noticed that there was absolutely NOTHING left: no coffee, no bagels, no cheese, no orange juice, no pastries, just nothing. Then it took her 10 minutes to make more coffee and bring everything out from the room behind and we had to ask again ... read more
Glenwood Motor Inn - or not Sometimes you get what you pay for. And in this case, you get less. The painters showed up early in the morning and made LOTS of noise right outside my window. A/C was ALL the place had going for it. I wish I had paid $20 more for the place down the street.
Not impressed The room we got looks NOTHING like the pictures they show. We had a 2nd floor back room. The beds were not very comfortable, the pillows were flat. The bathroom looked like it was in the middle of renovations or definitely needed renovations. The air conditioner was hidden beside the TV so it had to be on "hi" the whole night and was noisy. Our biggest complaint was the door to the room, unless locked with the deadbolt, the door kept opening.. would slip out of the door slot.. Not impressed for what we paid for... read more
Not a 3-Star Motel This place was advertised as a 3-star motel, but it was small, dark, and dingy. I couldn't wait to leave.
Meh. The room set up was weird. The t.v. in its hutch blocked the air conditioning unit and the room never really cooled off. The wifi set up wasn't explained at check in, but I was able to use the signal from the hotel next door. The first night at the motel was very, very noise due to a mariachi band that was staying below and next to my room. The room smelled like pot, from what I assume was the group next door and below as well. Once they left for their gig it was fine, but when they returned at 3:00AM - all hell broke l... read more
