Just got a Ford explorer back in march got the gold standard warranty. This is my first claim my car had been at the dealership waiting for the warranty company to receive it’s 3 days later still nothing dealership has sent it over 3 times but nothing on their end. If I could give zero stars I would. The entire process is a scam. Attempted to use the policy on three occasions and each was more of a hassle than the prior. Work is pre-authorized by an authorized repair facility, then the claim was somehow "denied" due to an error that was "clearly on behalf of the repair shop" and never the warranty provider. So each instance requires multiple phone calls, emails, and eventually they wear you down so you pay the entire bill (or the repair shop understandably wont release the vehicle). Th... read more
I was encouraged to buy a service contract from Gold Standard when I bought an Audi for my daughter in July 2023. Little did I know that I would need to use it as soon as October. However, I was never mailed or handed a brochure or booklet that outlined the coverage of the service contract that was purchased. In early October, the Audi had to be towed to an automotive repair shop in Bismarck, North Dakota because it would not drive. Every person I've talked to at Gold Standard is actually really nice, however they deny every claim that I have submitted that clearly fold under their coverage. Do NOT get any warranty from Gold standard. They are great at finding loop holes to prevent all coverage.
