My 72 year old brother was taken by ambulance to Loyola Gottlieb Hospital, the closest hospital, because his feeding tube was blocked. My brother had esophageal cancer surgery at Northwestern and that is why he currently has a feeding tube. He also can't walk. While at Gottlieb, my brother was without liquid nourishment for 4 days because Gottlieb didn't have a feeding tube in stock (The person in charge of supplies should be fired, in my opinion.). Just left yesterday after having a seizure. first they put me in ER & then transferred me to a regular room. I was feeling better but i needed my discharge papers and they wouldn’t give me any. The said i had to call the record department and then i called them and the lady said i had to pay??i literally just left yesterday and you want me to pay to have my discharge papers are you crazy?? I am reporting this hospital & the nurse to the IDPH because this is just diabolical.

If you are having trouble breathing do NOT come to this hospital. I’ve been here since 12pm. Barely can breathe. Two nurse checked my lungs and agreed they hear the rattling in my chest. I was told it wasn’t a long wait and 5 hrs later waiting to be called to the back to start my breathing treatment. I’ve had two blood works and chest xray and told to wait further an open room. My husband has been at this hospital for 3 different procedures in the past 6 mos.and has had only good experiences with the staff there. This hospital has only been good and kind to the family and their loved one having a tough surgery.

If I could give this hospital zero stars, I would. I’m honestly shocked at the lack of morality, compassion, and basic ethics shown by the staff here. I came to this hospital only because it was the closest option. I was in excruciating pain, throwing up nonstop, unable to keep down food or fluids, and feeling extremely weak, lightheaded, and dizzy.
