My company used this facility for over a year with 2 large units. The facility itself was well kept and always felt safe to be at. Everyone was always very professional and helpful. When it came time to move out, there was a couple of hiccups (on our part), and I do want to thank Chloe in particular for all she did to help me get our stuff out and our account closed. I've had a Storage unit here for almost 10 years. The managers are wonderful people and they keep the place really clean. Super secure too! The rates stay pretty much the same too. The location behind target makes it really convenient!
I’ve had a few bad experiences with the current staff. It’s ran by a man and woman, not sure if they’re the owners but they don’t act like it. The man was very rude and told me to leave because I was there longer than an hour. He said you must drop your stuff quickly and go “because it’s not a hangout”. The woman was much more friendly but still never got back to me about some items that were stolen out of my unit. Plus what they charge you for and what you get are two different things. Be sure and measure your unit
I’ve been with them for a few years. It’s a storage unit so don’t need or expect much. Reason for low rating is i checked out of my unit just after they charged me for the month ($200) and they won’t refund or pro-rate. There excuse in the system won’t allow it. We can put a man on the moon in the sixties but in 2023 “our system” won’t allow the refund or pro-rate. How convenient. So yes the great reviews are true. Great American Self Storage is a one of a kind. Customer service is way above and beyond! Kat and John truly care. The facilities are clean, safe, and the atmosphere is friendly. The location is great. Easily accessible for Kona living, coming, and going. I have to say. This place is amazing. I’m just so glad that I was able to find an available space!
