I called the billing department to explain a mixup with my insurance at the time of the service rendered and asked if they would resubmit the claim with BCBS. After supplying all the information needed I was told that it was never filed and they would do so. The gentleman that helped me was very courteous and helpful and verified my information three times at different times through our conversation to make sure everything was correct. He was very thorough and very friendly. It was a very nice and welcome experience.

At this point, I honestly don’t know what else to do. I had services performed through Coastal Radiology Associates, but the billing department recorded my insurance information incorrectly and my birthdate. The only provider that did not file Medicare or Medigap insurance after a hospital stay. I had to call multiple times and enter insurance information online twice to get them to stop sending an unfiled bill threatening collections. Six months later they filed and $178 charge was reduced to $10 by Medicare. Shame on this provider for operating this way. They had all my information from the hospital like every other provider. I believe they chose not to file and to bill directly in order to avoid the contracted Medicare rate.

Spoke on the phone with a representative about my billing problem and she was very pleasant and helpful. She worked hard to solve my issue and ended up doing so. I was very pleased!

I received a bill stating it was my third notice. I had not been sent the second and third notice. I did receive a bill for a portion of the total charges for diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. I paid that portion of the bill. When I received a new bill, this payment was not deducted from the bill. Greensboro Radiology's customer service is in the Philippines and are not very helpful.
