My grandson was admitted a week ago (Saturday)to Peds 2 and had not received any medicine like they told us he would be since he was there for med adjustment instead he was restrained and received IM Benadryl multiple times in his quick stay! This place is a total joke if you think it is a good place for the mental health of you or your loved one i highly advise you to choose a different facility i have had someone from my family in there for almost a week now and they have seen and talked to no one the whole time they have been in there. My loved one was admitted to Harbor Oaks hospital on Monday. She was able to call us, but we were not allowed to visit or talk to the staff about her care. We were told visiting hours were for 1 hour on Sundays. They kept her isolated from her family. By Wednesday, she stopped calling us. We made several attempts to check on her but was told nothing. Horrible experience! The building is nice but cold and you are limited on blankets at night. I had 3 and one was removed from me at 1am. I am vegan and all 72 meals had to be thrown away or I'd give them to someone who is still hungry. I ate overcooked veggies and whatever snack I was keeping for this purpose. I am now under 100 lbs. There is no guarantee any of the planned schedule will even happen. We all spent more time watching TV or sleeping than any therapy. The weekends are days of tv. Dietary was horrible they kept getting my meal wrong every time bc I have allergies and they kept giving me the food I couldn't eat, I got threatened with a shot when I raised my voice a little, I had to wait an hour for a med I need at that moment, the night shift in peds 1 sucked most of the time. The staff I will say is amazing is miss.t Mrs Brittany, Mrs Andrea, mr.paul and Mrs gill. Those are the staff that actually helped and made my stay a lot better and actually talked to me and calmed me down when j needed it.
