Fast and prompt service. Dr. Ortiz and his attendants are uniformly courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I've never had any major health issues so I can't speak for that, but as primary care providers Dr. Ortiz and his staff are peerless in my book.
So far, my experience with Health Texas has been very positive. The staff — especially those at the front desk — are always friendly, kind, and engaging. I’ve consistently felt welcomed and well taken care of. Overall, I’m very pleased with the care and service I’ve received!
I’ve been coming here for probably 8 years now and I’ve decided to switch providers after I came 5 minutes late to an appointment and the provider refused to see me. I’ve never been late before and this appointment was a result of me sending a question through the messaging system and them requiring me to make an appointment to have my simple question answered. Been a patient for several years. Always on time and pay my bills. The one time I am running late due to traffic beyond my control, they refuse to see me even though I was in the building on my way up 1 minute after my appt time. Even called on the way to be courteous and let them know I was running a little late due to traffic. Refused to see me and I would have to reschedule. I took the day off from work for my annual exam after 12 noon. I had nothing to eat nor drink (except water) because I knew I'd have blood work and most probably give urine sample. I arrived 15 min prior to my appt and had no problem checking in. I was in the room waiting for my PCP for an hour. I went outside the room to let the people know there I had to use the bathroom and would be a good idea to give a urine sample.
