HearUSA is very professional, although I have been a client before, I should admit. I have spent a few years over at Livingston and they are good and always helpful, but their product is not as good the “hear.com” hearing aids i am now using. I was always using the phone app to improve the sound volume and frequency response. My “hear.com” ones need neither a volume change nor improvement in sound quality. That is quite an improvement over my other ones which I would make the same “app” changes every day.
Hear did good job fitting and programming to my test. The jury is still out with the Sig aids. Not much improvement in interaction with wife which is why I wanted them. I returned them and switched to Phonak and am much more pleases so far. Kept the Phonak's for 3+ weeks. BT is better but still not up to what my $20 earbuds do. My old Costco aids were Phonak and work almost as well...I paid $750 for them back 5-6 years ago. Decided to return the new Phonaks for refund. I was fit with hearing aids at Hear in Santa Fe and was advised that I had 30 days to try them. After two weeks I knew they not working and tried to return them. I could hear better without them. I was talked out of returning them on the guise that it takes longer to adjust. I tried to return them a second time and again told it takes two months to really adjust . My audiologist and her assistant were very nice and courteous. Everything we needed to know was explained very carefully with a lot of patience. They took their time and did not hurry through the process just to sell something. We were very impressed with the service Thank you.
I was surprised by the short time needed for scheduling. Letitia, who tested my hearing, was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I felt confident that I was in good hands. Perhaps I was slightly put off by the assumption that I would buy hearing aids that very day. However, that was in fact the best thing to do.
