My Hertz hire was excellent. Car got upgraded for unknown reasons. Young fella at the key pick up was fantastic. No dramas on drop off after 11pm. No hidden costs. No cleaning fee. No dramas. Will use hertz everytime.

I had booked hertz online for 3 days at Auckland airport and had paid full amount including the car seat . But at the hertz counter I was asked to pay car seat amount again and along with that some additional charges around 223$ . I have raised case with Hertz already but still not resolved . I had booked Avis in South Island for 8 days and I did not face any issue and they did not charge any hidden charges. But hertz have some hidden charges . Customer service don’t exist. If you call them for help you’ll be left on automatic voice, got hang up no matter how many times, at what time of the day you call them. Recently we had rented their car and returned it. But we left a digital device and clothes in the car. i tried to contact their lost and found team to ask for the items that i left in the car i returned and i tried more than 300 times i’m not even exaggerating. Excellent service. Car was a little scratched before picking it up and they said just take photos no problems. When I returned it, there was no problems whatsoever. Hertz is the no 1 car rental company. Awesome.

There were a few problems on the pick up however Scotty was amazingly very helpful and polite. Excellent customer service!! On returning vehicle, again Scotty was awesome again…great fast car too lol 👍🏾👍🏾
