Long trek with luggage to the car park, when I got there the only vehicle they could give me was a diesel twin cab ute with a flashing light and hi vis stripes. (I was a little early but should have waited).Dreadful to drive with no camera, reverse beeper and pretty dirty. Could not get my phone to connect to Bluetooth. Returned for exchange the following morning, was given a corolla hybrid that also would not connect to my phone without a USBC to USBC cable which I had to go and purchase. "Update, hertz has asked me to get in contact with them, not vice versa. Classic 🙄" First of all Lawrence at Hertz Hobart Airport was fantastic 👍🏻. The process to hire a car from Hertz Hobart was simple and efficient. The reason for the two star rating is the cleanliness -or lack thereof-and overall condition of the car. Recently went to Hobart and reserved a car through Hertz had 2 emails prior to getting to Hobart both confirming the booking with the last one saying we are getting your car ready for you. Got to Hobart went to the desk and after a 30 minute wait was told the car I wanted, a Toyata Carolla or similar, was not available. Offered a Toyota 4WD, totally useless for the small parking area I had arranged in Hobart. Told to come back in 10 minutes so went to get a coffee, came back and told another 20 minutes. Booked a small sedan, gasoline. Waited 30 mins in line and then was told all they had was an electric car. Then had to wait another hour for the next available car which was a compact suv
We hired a 12 seater mini van for a great price ! Staff were lovely and helped us efficiently after our landing.
