Was looking for a new vet for my Newfoundland and found Hillside. My pup was in need of some help and I scheduled an appointment. This appointment was during the coronavirus pandemic, and hillside was operating on curbside drop off and pick up, only. The staff was prompt, friendly and welcoming, even though it wasn't a traditional time. Made me feel comfortable leaving my fur baby with them. This place has numerous good reviews, and I would agree. I have taken my cats to quite a few vets in the valley. I lived in the area for about a year, and I was so glad to find a vet practice with great staff, clean facilities, and helpful and knowledgeable vets. The staff would help me carry my cats in / out and immediately get them settled in the cat room, to avoid contact with any dogs. Wow! Honestly blown away by Dr. Council, Heidi, Ashley and all of the front desk girls. From calling to make an appointment for the first time, Ashley was very sweet and emailed me all of the forms. When we arrived (to which the place smelled amazing & not "vet like" and was so clean!) we were greeted and taken back so promptly and given a welcome goodie bag (what vet does that!?) We moved from the Pets Mart clinic called Banfield Pet Hospital to Hillside and we are so glad we did. The doctors know all about your animals. Our 15-year-old pug was made comfortable and helped in her last year or life. I only wish we switched sooner. Our new Boston Terrier loves the place it is possible she will never get nervous going to the vet, they are that good. We have seen many of the doctors there and they are all good. Dr. Katy Chicotka, Shelley, and the staff at Hillside were as good as it gets! This was my 1st visit, I was in a rush, quickly wanting a checkup for my dog. The office is truly set up like your home, eliminating stress. Dr. Chicotka and Shelley were nice, confident, knowledgeable, and great with handling my pet. The charges were reasonable and typical for an exam and some antibiotics; they didn't run me through costly hoops like so many practitioners unfortunately do, today. Incredibly grateful to Dr. Nicola Council and the staff at Hillside Animal Hospital for their genuine and sensitive care during the hard but inevitable time where our dog was at his "end of life". This is by far the best vet practice I have ever found. I can't say enuf about their services and diagnostic expertise. I do believe Dr. Rosonske (?sp) saved my little girl's life with his keen eye and expert abilities. I will never ever trust any other vet. Their whole practice is awesome, starting from their front desk!

Very friendly staff and beautiful place! They have individual rooms for you and your pet to meet with the vet privately which I really like. You can tell that all the staff really love working with animals. My dog is never scared to come here.

My family moved to Scottsdale in 2006 Dr Roseanke and Dr Council took excellent care of my standard poodle, Ashley, and my love my miniature Poodle, Bellagia (Bella). My Bellagia won Best in Show in Portland, OR, in 1993 I believe. When she came to live with us, she turned into a "real" dog!! My sweet Bella passed this past Monday, June 4.
