I have been a patient at Holy Cross Health Center in Gaithersburg for many years, but my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. When I tried to schedule an appointment, the receptionist refused to book it, stating that I had not returned some paperwork. Instead of prioritizing my health, she denied me care altogether. I would give this place no stars if I could. I tried calling MULTIPLE times and no one would answer. When I finally did get a hold of someone they would send me to another department. Then I tried one last time and when the front desk told me she was going to put me on hold, she hung up on me!!!!!! So rude and unprofessional. Didn’t even have the decency to call me back. Our family had trusted this clinic for year. The pediatrician we see is kind, patient, and truly wonderful with children. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was devastating. During a routine vaccination appointment for our two sons, one of them received the wrong dose. No one from the office reached out to explain or apologize afterward. If I could give this clinic no stars I would. They do not care about black patients here. The office staff is highly disorganized and discriminating towards the black patients. The first problem is that there are only Hispanic front office staff. They are very rude and they only seem to genuinely care about the needs Hispanic patients. We need desperately need our own representation at this clinic. They treat the Hispanic patients and the black patients totally different from my experience. They don’t respond to calls AT ALL. I will be filing a complaint about this to the maryland health department! This is extremely unacceptable and it’s happened multiple times. Today was just the last straw.
