The ER doctors and nurses are excellent. Been there a few times and it’s amazing how they take care of your needs. And have great attitudes. My wife’s veins are tough to find and the ER nurse was excellent in preparing IV
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Holy Cross Health Emergency Department in Fort Lauderdale. I came in after being physically assaulted by my partner. I had visible bruises, neck marks from being choked, and a cut on my side larger than six inches. I was also knocked unconscious during the incident. 10/22/25 worst decision of my life was coming to the holy cross emergency room... If it wasn't for Dr Brooking doing my spinal surgery in April, I would protest this place... Its falling apart and it's dirty.. They don't have basic necessities the beds are falling apart I was placed on a bed in which the rails were broken. I shouldn't even call it a bed it's more like a metal cot with a cushion on it. I complained that the cot was pressing into my fused spine, and I was offered towels to bunch up under me. I really am happy with my experience here. I was checked in and was seen in less than 5 minutes. I got a bed immediately. My nurse, Shawn was so kind and attentive and also funny. All of the staff were patient and kind. I turned out to be okay, but I still got all necessary tests done and was treated with reason and care.
Worst experience ever in an emergency room. From the start we were called into triage twice and then the two nurses starting arguing with each other as to why that occured. Additionally, we needed an MRI and the ER doctor refused stating that we needed to be admitted for up to 48 hours to get an MRI as they don't do that in the ER. The same ER doctor who was rude and condescending repeated over and over his credentials stating that no ER will give an MRI.
