It's so difficult these days to find a professional who will repair your watch... I went to countless watchmakers to repair the strap of a watch that belonged to my recently deceased father—a very simple but still functional watch that I had given him a long time ago. I left my watch at this shop to have the battery replaced. I got it back with a bent hand that no longer moves and a broken button. I strongly advise against going there.

Exorbitant price: Two children's watches with batteries replaced at €33.80 for both. A very quick repair on the case (10 minutes) cost €44.90, plus another small repair at €6.50… €85.20! That's a hefty sum in the blink of an eye! I understand that there's a learning curve, experience, and investment involved… but this is clearly not justified! Way too expensive!

Exorbitant price. I had a battery replaced under warranty because it died after a few months. Certain it was a battery defect, the salesperson told me, "I hope so for your sake." After testing the battery twice, he didn't really want to replace it, and he only realized, once the watch stopped again, that the problem was indeed the battery. I wanted to tell him, "Change the battery you bought for €3, don't play games, I'm telling you it's dead."
