I’ve reviewed the Hudson’s Bay Home St. James location in Winnipeg already, but the Kenaston location is worth commenting on as well. Essentially, they have good items but their prices are pretty high. Good selection of items. Wait until there’s a sale for what you’re looking for and the prices can be pretty reasonable. The layout of the store chain and what they keep in stock is pretty consistent from location to location.
The store is shutting down but most items are on sale only 10-20%, which are not really a good deal in my opinion. However, spent almost $600 here and felt unhappy due to the fact that the company policy did not allow to scan the membership card by phone (even offered to show ID to the cashier). I visited this location on July 6th, 2018 to buy a Bridal Shower gift. I printed the registry off as soon as I arrived at the store, but then was feeling a little lost at where to start. A very kind lady noticed me and offered to help me. She went through the entire registry with me to narrow down items that I would be interested in. She gave me great suggestions and was extremely helpful. I have been here twice to purchase bedding. Both times I had fantastic help, and walking in to buy sheets and pillows can be daunting with so many choices. I love their own brand. Distinctly Home. Bought the 520 Thread count and LOVE the feel! Also bought their firm king size Gel pillow and will definitely buy again!
Absolutely terrible place to buy furniture from. I placed an order for a coffee table and a couple of end tables. two days before I was supposed to pick them up, I got a call tell me it would be delayed. Two weeks later I went to pick up my order and they did not have the top for my coffee table. When I call the customer service, they were trying to say it was my fault for not checking.
