Words cannot express how grateful I am for connecting with Dr. Shaker! He diagnosed me with a rare condition I didn't even know I lived with my whole life until a massive seizure happened in my early 30s. Eventually I was referred to Mercy's Epilepsy Clinic and everything fell into place for my treatment. This man not only saved my life, but also changed my life for the better. He has a great beside manner and very attentive. I will forever sing his praises and the office staff is great!
Dr. Shaker has been reviewing my case for about a year now. I am preparing to undergo surgery based on his findings. I cannot speak highly enough about the time he has taken to study my brain, and the care he has provided me. I highly recommend Dr. Shaker if you are looking for a doctor who has a deep understanding of epilepsy.

Dr Shaker is dedicated to his patients, both in the hospital and in the clinic. Nurses, medical assistants and front desk gals all have been more than helpful. Appreciate Doc's expertise and caring, as well as his staff.
My husband has a TBI and Post Concussion Syndrome, he has difficulty communicating. Why aren't the doctors and nurses working with patients who have TBI'S understand TBI'S? He was discharged today because he has difficulty communicating and staff has a 0 TOLERANCE with people who have difficulty communicating. So.... If you have a TBI and have trouble communicating, please go to another facility or hospital. My name is Ann Marie Hodges RN How can those who work with brain injuries, not understand that those same people ... read more
