I signed up through my employer. My experience with MetLife Legal hasn’t been good. There are no lawyers in my area who accept this plan. I had to pay out of pocket for my divorce and my chapter 13 bankruptcy. I did submit for reimbursement and they say it takes 7-10 business days for your trinity be processed but it’s been over a month. I have not been notified about the status of my claim and when I call I’m being told that they are backed up and in November they supposedly just got through the Oct claims. Dont waste your money. I called and left messages with 3 attorneys listed in my area that Metlife referred to me. I have left several messages with no responses. I called Metlife support and the representative read from a script as fast as she could then said is there anything else I can do for you. I actually needed some unscripted help. I emailed Metlifes concerns dept and got an AI response, however they did response with in 48 hrs with an AI saying it will be looked at by another dept blah blah blah. No plan attorneys within a 1.5 -2 hour drive. Used it once for out of network and they covered some of it. tried to use the closest network attorney for a name change and they told me my legal plan only covers so much and I would have to pay over $1000 out of pocket. What’s the point of having the plan if I still have to pay for everything?
