The receptionist at the front desk isn't knowledgeable and rather rude. I tried to explain several times that my insurance was Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and she kept saying Anthem. I work remotely for an Arizona company and my insurance and a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield. I even showed her the bill for my company and it still didn't register and she kept implying it was medicade. This review is not related to the healthcare providers. Intermountain Healthcare doctors are great. However, Intermountain Healthcare REFERRAL PROCESSERS are not!! And the way it works is I call his Pediatrician (Dr. Romo-Sanisteven) office and press 3 to be transferred for referrals. As a parent of a toddler with developmental delays that, to date, have necessitated several referrals to specialists, trying to get the correct referral in a timely manner has not been an easy, seamless experience. Dr. Romo is the best. My only issue is that she doesn’t pierce ears 😢
It’s always an amazing experience when we go to this office. Dr Romo has been both of my children’s pediatrician and we absolutely adore her and her expertise. She is very personable, knowledgeable and thorough every single visit. Front desk staff and the nurses Ina and Barbie are so helpful and welcoming each time. They are great with our children and make things transition smoothly!
Dr Romo is great! She sees both my kids. She's very caring and attentive! Intermountain Healthcare is also a great company. They have a very user friendly check in and I can get an appointment within a day or two if I need it. Most other places I called either don't take my insurance or have a wait of a couple months.
