Signed the contract on 8/3/22. install was finally done by 2/16. They haven’t gotten the final inspection yet. Still no power, though ion got paid. The work has been OK, but the corporation is extremely disorganized. I wish I would have shopped around more
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. The prices they charges are way way more than other companies. Slick presentation and empty promises. Nothing but harassment since we let them in the door. The rep told us we could cancel anytime without penalty or fee when we said we needed roof repairs made before we committed. They moved forward anyway and then began the non stop harassment for over four months. Now they are trying charge us a $1200 cancellation fee. These guys are terrible! They got us with the sales pitch of we won’t pay any more for solar panels then we pay for electricity. Lie! We pay more now than before we had panels. The electricians they sent to install did not know what they were doing. They drilled through an outlet in our garage shutting down power for the whole house. To fix it they tore out the drywall and spliced the wires leaving a terrible repair job. On Thursday 25 August 2022 at 12:35 US/Pacific in NE Portland, Oregon, an Ion Solar representative who identified himself only as Jim and would not give further contact information ignored the clearly displayed "No Soliciting" sign displayed prominently on the property and proceeded to disrupt the household, with folks who work from home present and visibly working via the window, to make a sales pitch. Terrible selling practices, most houses in our neighborhood have “no solicitation” signs. I’ve been visited by this company three times over the last two weeks. They ignore the signs and use the phrase “we’re not selling anything”, but that’s utterly ridiculous since they represent the company and they’re trying to make a sale.
