The experience I had with Iowa Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, P.C. was exceptional from beginning to end. Dr. Dunbar explained everything to me as if he had all the time in the world. The nurses were fantastic, professional and kind. They explained things to me in the same way as Dr. Dunbar. Every staff member I came in contact with was/is exceptional! Going into my tooth extraction I was nervous and expecting a lot of pain. Nervousness was immediately taken away by the very professional staff who treated me. Dr Sunstrum is a Saint! She was calming with her manner immediately putting me at ease and confident everything she was telling me would be the outcome. I can say I had no pain during or after the procedure and my recovery at home has been remarkable. Hopefully I won’t have further tooth issues but if so I know where I’m going for treatment.
Dr. Dunbar and every single person working there was so kind, comforting and it was a great experience, especially for a dentist visit. I really love that they took the time to go over every aspect of the procedure, and answer any questions I had. I was very anxious going in and the staff made me feel so much better. I highly recommend this oral surgeon! Also I'm 36 hours post op and have had 0 pain, and I mean ZERO pain since last night I haven't even had to take Tylenol, and I had a molar pulled. Everybody there was so helpful, kind and cheerful! I had a tooth pulled and and I felt no pain during or after. The even have blankets if you are cold. I will definitely go back and I'm driving from out of town. My regular oral surgeon was unavailable so they sent me to this office.
Had my second procedure with Dr Dunbar. Again, a very positive one. I have not needed any pain medication, just like the first time. I feel great and have zero pain! He was fast, efficient, and is very kind, confident and experienced. I trust him entirely and will never go to anyone else! Dr Dunbar and his amazing assistant are the way to go. It is stressful and scary enough to need oral surgery, you deserve to go to the best!
