My 84 y/o mom called for an appt for my 90 y/o dad & was told to come in now. She stated that they need to get a ride as they’re quite elderly and it would be a little bit. I drove up immediately, got my father (who can’t walk) into the car and drove there, set up the wheelchair, got him in it and wheeled him in. This took time and we were there an hr and 15 mins later. Was a patient of Dr. Kaplan's for ~10 years. While I generally liked Dr. Kaplan personally, and her office fulfilled basic functions such as insuring medication refills occurred timely, I didn't always find that her prescribing practices were based on best available data. What finally forced me to make the decision to leave her practice was her repeated need to reschedule regular preventive care visits.
