My wife and I sat at the bar for dinner which we’ve done multiple times. The food is always great but the service seems to be hit or miss. The first bar tender was terrible, slow, not focused, didn’t pay attention. Johnny took over for him and he was excellent. Some good people some bad.
The food is excellent, but the service is spectacular, making it feel like a unique dining experience. We lost track of how many different employees assisted us, from the welcome, being seated, being served, and checking in with us with pleasant conversation. The food is memorable, but the experience brings us back.
It was delicious and a great way to celebrate!
This was the second time in a week we were there and needless to say we loved it. Everything was wonder. We will be back again soon.
This was our first time to J-Prime. Our primary server was Bond. He was fantastic and the entire supporting cast was superior as well. The pastry chef made a custom dessert for us to celebrate a special achievement. It was outstanding. Can't say enough good things about this place. We will absolutely be back.
Amazing night at J Prime for my fiance's birthday dinner. Our waiters, Daniel and Eber were very attentive and on point with their recommendations. They made every effort to ensure were not only satisfied, but thrilled about our meals.

The four of us came to J-Prime for dinner. We had a good time and enjoyed our meals. They have an extensive wine list, as well as full bar for cocktails. Wide variety of steaks, seafood, salads and such are available. However, our wives ordered an 8 oz filet which they shared and ordered it medium well done. When it arrived already divided in half for them both of their shares were still under done being only medium which they like their steak cooked a bit more at medium well. They were not happy. As always J-Prime goes above & beyond to make our evening great. J-Prime is our go to restaurant to show out of town friends how special San Antonio can be. Carlos has trained & prepared the staff to handle any event or evening to perfection. Our friends are hooked & will be back with their friends.
