J. Prime is an excellent steakhouse. Dined here 4 times. At this point, I consider it my go to place. Tonight was sending off my 18yo to leave the nest. Location is very favorable for NW San Antonio. Impressed by the service each time...as in, I consider it exceptional. Food is excellent. Wine list is approachable and extensive enough, but not encyclopedic. The staff at J Prime made our anniversary wonderful! We were treated very well and had an extremely enjoyable dinner.
Business dinner attended by out-of-town guests. Although the service was outstanding, the steaks were tough and dry. All three of us had the filet mignon. Two medium-rare and one medium. There was no difference in the color, texture or tenderness of any of them. As I said, the steaks were dry and tough. Side dishes were delicious.

Excellent service and great cuisine. All four entrees were delicious and our waiter was professional. He was always available, but did not rush us in any way. Avery relaxing and enjoyable experience. We will be back again soon!

Anniversary. Excellent food and service, but extremely loud. Noise coming from bar with drum heavy music detracted from overall experience. Still rated 5 based on quality of food and service.
Found this place a month ago and went back this past Sunday and were blown away again. The service is amazing, Gustavo and John were fantastic. We'll be back again real soon.
No kidding—best steakhouse we’ve encountered in San Antonio! Best restaurant bread we’ve ever had; top-notch steaks (five-ounce bacon-wrapped filets). Every member of the staff was on their game and showed real hustle. We felt like VIPs throughout the evening.
