Obviously steaks are the thing here, and they are excellent. The bone-in steaks (Ribeye and filet) considerably exceed their regular cousins on this menu. Most steaks are big enough to split, as is about every other thing on the menu. Birthdays and anniversaries get a free dessert--we recommend the chocolate cake!
From beginning to end J. Prime does everyting top notch! The staff is well trained and attentive, yet not intrusive. They pay attention to details, listen well and accomodate very well. The food is excellent, we've eaten here around a half dozen times now and they're consistently great. You will not be disappointed.

Overall Excellent as always! Eric did a great job serving our family. Didn’t like waiting to be seated at 5:30 with a 5:00 reservation but Overall experience was great! Great food and awesome family. Doesn’t get better! Thank you Prime!

We love J-Prime. in fact, we think it's probably the best steakhouse in San Antonio. certainly equal to the Palm and Morton's, which are excellent, as are Perry's and Bob's. i guess I'm saying you can't go wrong. The wait staff is attentive but not "hovering." We'll never get tired of J-Prime.
Great meal. Waited a little for our table even though we had a reservation. A little loud until 9ish...then noise went down. Service was great.
We went to J Prime for Mothers Day because the food is excellent, the service is professional, and because we have a handicapped son who is always welcomed and treated with dignity and respect.
This is the third time I've eaten at J-Prime. It gets better every time. Depending on what your normal dinner budget is, this may or may not be a pricey dinner. Regardless of the cost, it's a bargain for what you get in return! The service and food is off the charts! Did I mention the service??? Hats off to the staff of J-Prime...for those looking for a nice place for a nice dinner, look no further...you'll be glad you did.
