Not at all what I expected based on previous reviews. Pros: ambience was what I expected Beef cooked to order Service was good Cons: Beef plated with little/none presentation/greenery Flavor was okay Was asked for a refill on the beer as we were completed with our meal. We had a special occasion to celebrate at J Prime this past Sunday. Never knew they had a price fixe option for Sunday evenings so that was very nice. Carlos, the Manager, is always hands on when you arrive with a handshake and personal escort to your table. Even our handbags were taken care of. Our waiter, Tristan, was awesome. Last minute dinner decision and was not disappointed. My girlfriend and I have heard wonderful things about the restaurant, so when Joseph went above and beyond our expectations we were happy. Long story short we will definitely be returning and bringing people with us.
We went for a wedding anniversary dinner and were very impressed with the service, both from the waiter and all the other staff. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The steak was delicious, possibly the best porterhouse I've ever had. Dessert was comped and the plate (as well as a table card) said 'Happy Anniversary' which I thought was a very special touch. A little pricey but the food, wine, and service were excellent. We were there for our 25th anniversary. Everything from the appetizer to the Caesar salad to the steak to the dessert was delicious. The wine list was extensive and the wine was first- rate. The only minor complaint is the noise level. The ceilings are high and noise tends to bounce around so it's kind of loud even though there was no particularly loud music or anything. But it was in no way severe enough to spoil the evening.
