If you are looking for a TOP NOTCH Thoracic Sugeon, Dr James Lubawski is your surgeon! Dr Lubawski chose to do my difficult redo hiatal hernia/nissen fundiplocation using the Robotix surgery and I can’t thank him enough for that choice! All went well and post op easier too! Lubawski performed lung surgery on me in Feb 2019. I felt extremly comfident with him before and after the surgery. I'm now waiting to see the results every 6 months for 2 years and yearly there after.
Complications with surgery. Had to operate twice. Then even worse post surgery care. Absolutely awful experience. Strongly advise you go elsewhere.
Great surgeon BUT there r 2 things that were neverr gone over pre surgery. First , that I would have persistent neuropathy left side. And my voice is gone since 2 days after surgery. Its been 2 months. So now on to ent which really just what I need another doc appt. I can breath worse now. And good luck qualifying for o2.
Dr. Lubowski provide our family with false hope. He does not round on his patient on a daily basis or even every other day but sends his PA who does not spend more than 5 minutes with the patient. He saw the patient prior to surgery and once post op. Prior to going into surgery and there was a discussion of being discharged, he indicated that the patient may bleed that could potentially be fatal that led to the decision to proceed with surgery.
