I began care with this provider in an extremely vulnerable state. She recommended an IOP program, which ended up causing me significant emotional harm and worsening my mental health. When I told her how retraumatizing that experience had been—something I was still actively recovering from—her immediate response was simply to suggest I find a different IOP.
