I am old and so are my computer and phone. Neither of them could do Zoom and for the longest time therapists didn’t see patients in person, I was so happy when my doctor told me at my December checkup that she was sure therapists were taking in-person appointments again. She got me set up to use Lifestance, which recommended Janell Makaipo, and I optimistically made an appointment with her. She is absolutely despicable. Janell's approach to providing mental guidance is a very good fit for me. I feel like I'm being heard and the suggestions given for dealing with my issues are very helpful. I've had many counselors over the years and she is one of the best counselors I've seen. I am grateful to have her as my counselor.

Very clinical setting, not easy to feel comfortable being vulnerable. I was rated by points to begin - (based on my online survey). I want to get to the root of my anxiety and my social issues/drinking but kept being referred to my general practitioner for possible post partum depression (my daughter is 3, almost 4 and I’m having recent depression) and she seemed adamant I consider starting medication.
