From diagnosis to surgery 2 weeks. Primary doctor found a heart issue. Sent me to a cardiologist, who flat out told me there was no one in my area skilled enough to fix me. He sends me to Dr. Schwartz. His calm demeanor, positive attitude and skill sets on his history of medicine told me I had the correct surgeon. On March 23 2024 I rolled into surgery and 5 hours later was in ICU. He absolutely fixed everything that was broken or clogged. 9 yrs. ago when my husband was transferred to the heart transplant unit, Dr. Schwartz suggested an aortic valve replacement. At that time, Dr. Schwartz was prepared to use a ventricular assist device as a bridge to transplant. Due to Dr. Schwartz's expertise, it wasn't needed, and today, my husband has normal valve function with only the valve replacement. Dr. Schwartz is an excellent surgeon who saved my husband's life.
Dr Schwartz is professional, compassionate, and very skilled in his field. He spends time to explain things and doesn't rush you out of the office. I am so grateful this surgeon was recommended to me. Staff and other doctors have also told me I was in good hands and I really was.
